  i attended my grandfathers jw funeral the other day.

  firstly i am a rabid apostate, and certainly not wt greatest fan.

  that been said however, i will certainly stick up for them when they do the right thing.

  i haven’t been on here in awhile and this is my second user name because i was busted by my pimi wife on the first one.

  i have been basically awake since 2013. i have a super dub wife that i love and don’t want to lose and my sick mom in the hall that is a true believer.

  stupid religion has gotten between my wife and i (of course).

  Another Ex-Elder here. Was the COBE, Convention, CA speaker, Convention Program Overseer, Regular Pioneer, etc.

  I know its hard, being an Elder is like taking a constant drug. You’re told “you are a glorious one, you’re in Jesus right hand, you’re being directed by Holy Spirit, the Governing Body loves and supports you, etc...”

  I gave my wife piecemeal “truths” at a time. Keep it simple.

  They lied to us and no one wants to take responsibility. “Millions now living will never die”, was said in 1919, they’re all dead now. The “Generation “ teaching has changed 5 times, but no apology for us making life decisions based on the current teaching. I gave talks in the 1980’s and 90’s, quoting the Watchtower that these Last Days will be over within this 20th Century. Now, we are in our 60’s, broke, no retirement, wasted our youth, vital energies on a lie, that we would “ never grow old, never die, not need to plan for retirement!”

  We are sad, anger and bitter!

  Step down now and try to salvage whatever life you have left before you die! You can not refute the facts! Everything thing else is speculation, hopes and dreams.

  Here in the States, they have a clause called “Ecclesiastical Privilege”, that most states have, which is the same as “Attorney Client Personal”. In other words, they (religious ministers) don’t have to report a crime.

  i was on facebook and a person i have known for a long time posted how trump is mentally ill and is truly a psychopath.

  a couple of her friends chimed in when i suggested that perhaps the fb friend was really the psychopath.

  a couple of her friends began to defend her but i was surprised by how many people defended the president!

  but i did ask a sister who i work with: how did it go at the watchtower study yesterday?

  she said: "i cried throughout the meeting".

  My thoughts exactly! In my 20 plus years of being an Elder, I was on 3 different child sexual abuse cases, none reported to the police. If this was an average of each congregation in each of the 100,000 congregations in the US, that would mean 300,000 unreported cases!

  I didn't go to the first Sunday(7/14/19) Meeting discussing "Child Abuse". But I did ask a Sister who I work with: How did it go at the Watchtower Study yesterday? She said: "I cried throughout the meeting". I said Why? Her reply: "when I was 15, married Brother F, who was taking a shower at our house(he was doing repair work at the house with her brother), came to my room with a towel wrapped around his waist(her brother was in the shower), and he made me watch him watch him masterbate to completion, hoping that I would be turned on and do the same in return in front of him.

  I was on that Committee the reproved Brother F. Our young Sister was as innocent as they come. At this point, I apologized to her for my lack of apathy and sensitivity. I explained the mindset of the Elders. "First of all, the Elders are not Doctors or skilled Therapists. In fact, all those on the body of Elders are just High School graduates! And second, I hate to say this, but our thinking was, He didn't touch her, no harm, no foul".

  I then asked her: " How come your dad didn't call the police?". Her reply, "The Elders told him there was no need to report this to the police, because the discipline from the congregation would be enough".

  I decided to go to this past Sunday Meeting for the lesson on "Comfort for victims of Child Abuse". I first noticed that almost half of the congregation was missing. As the lesson got going on, Two Sisters in front of me got up at least five different times, wiping their tears away. It was quite a distraction. After the meeting, many in the congregation went over to these two hugging them and comforting them. To be continued...

  Overlapping Generation

  the september 2015 broadcast had david splane explain matthew 24:34 “truly, i say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place”.

  his explanation of this scripture was by means of a chart to indicate an overlapping generation.. .

  no scripture was used to show the overlapping generation concept, and as a result it makes no sense.. to illustrate how crazy this concept is, look at the lyrics of the song my generation.. my generation.
